What actually happens?
You enter your number and we call it. An AI agent — it says so at the start — asks what you want to learn from your group and works out the questions. You get a link. Everyone who taps it gets a call of their own, talks it through, and the answers come back as one anonymous summary.
How long is a call?
A few minutes. The agent follows up on what you say rather than reading a fixed list, so it ends when the ground is covered.
Is it free?
It is free today, and there is nothing to buy right now. We expect that to change: the likeliest shape is a limit on how many pulses one phone number can create for free, with paid options beyond it. Nothing you are already using will start costing money without us telling you first. Your carrier’s ordinary message and data rates apply to the texts either way — see Text Messages.
If it’s free, am I the product?
No, and that is a fair thing to want answered rather than assumed. We do not sell what anyone says, we do not use it to train AI models, we do not run ads, and there is no advertising network or data broker anywhere in this product.
The intent is to be paid for the software — see the question above. That is the whole reason these commitments do not depend on Plot Pulse being free: they are binding promises in the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, not a posture that gets quietly revised when a free period ends.
Is my call recorded?
No. We do not store audio and we do not keep a transcript. What we keep is a set of short descriptions of the substance of what you said, which is what the summary is built from. We do not create a voiceprint, and we do not use anything you say to train AI models. The Privacy Policy is specific about all of this.
Who sees what I say?
Everyone who took part. The summary goes to the person who created the pulse and to anyone holding the link who has completed an interview of their own — that is the point of it, that the group hears back what the group thinks rather than only the person who asked.
It aggregates everyone’s answers and does not name anybody, and your phone number is never shown to any of them.
Anonymity has one limit and it is yours to control: if you say your name, or something only you would say, it can reach the summary. The agent is instructed never to attribute anything to an individual, and it is not told your number — but it cannot unsay something you chose to say.
Someone sent me a link. Do I have to answer?
No. Nothing happens until you enter your number and ask to be called, and you can end the call whenever you like.
I got a call I did not ask for.
Hang up. When you ask for a call, the page shows you a two-word code — a colour and an animal — and the agent asks you to read it back. If you pick up a call from us and you are not looking at a screen showing you a code, you did not request it. Please tell us and we will block the number.
How do I stop the texts?
Reply STOP to any of them. Reply HELP to reach us. What we send, and how often, is on Text Messages.
How long do you keep things?
A pulse and its summary are deleted 12 months after its last activity, for everyone who took part, with no warning first — so if a summary matters to you, keep your own copy. A creator can also delete their own pulse at any time from its page. Two things outlive that sweep and the Privacy Policy says plainly which and why.
Who can use it?
Anyone 18 or older. Only enter a phone number that is your own.
